Buying a bike? Start here.

The questions we hear most, answered straight.

What kind of bike should I buy?

It comes down to how you like to ride. Chasing speed on the flats, climbing all day, grinding out long endurance miles, or getting off the pavement? Each one rewards a different bike, aero, lightweight climber, endurance, or gravel. Tell us how you ride and we'll match you to the right one, not just the most expensive one.

What size do I need?

Most manufacturers publish general size charts, but they're only averages, they can't see your reach, flexibility or proportions. Sizing isn't standard between brands either: one company's Medium can ride like another's Large. That's why it's always worth getting measured before you commit to anything. We size you in person, and a professional bike fit dials it in so the bike feels right from the very first ride.

How much should I spend?

Enough to get a bike you'll genuinely love riding, and no more. We'll be honest about where extra money makes a real difference and where it doesn't.

Carbon or aluminum?

Both are excellent today. Carbon is lighter and smooths out the road; quality aluminum is tough and often better value. We'll help you weigh it against your budget and goals.

Should I get a bike fit?

For most riders, yes. A good fit removes pain, adds power, and makes a new bike feel right from day one, which is why we usually recommend one with any new build. More on fitting →
